Strengthening the clinic's own recruiting page to hire physicians

The request The clinic was struggling to hire physicians and wanted stronger recruiting information on its own website.

Our support We started by interviewing the clinic director and joining home visits to understand the clinic's style of care and culture first-hand. Based on how the work actually flows, we created the recruiting page's structure, text and layout from scratch.

Busy, but no profit left, and no idea why

The request Patient numbers were low and staff had time on their hands, while only the clinic director was overloaded.

Our support We organized monthly profit and loss by department and job type and mapped how revenue and costs fit together. We rebuilt it into a form the clinic director and we could review together to see where the money was going.

Someone to talk to about management, once a month

The request Each time a daily decision came up, the clinic director wondered alone, "What are other clinics doing?"

Our support We joined one Zoom session as a sounding board for the clinic director. Together we sorted out the material for decisions: trends in fee schedule revisions, examples from other clinics, and key points in running the organization.

Always one step behind on fee schedule revisions

The request With each revision, the clinic could not keep up, and updated notifications and billing reviews were always late.

Our support We broke the revision down item by item and listed the notification changes, billing requirements and website disclosure requirements relevant to the clinic. We then checked and completed each step in order so nothing was missed.

Training a staff member with no experience to become an administrator

The request The clinic director wanted to appoint a staff member with no administrator experience, but had no time to train them.

Our support We ran a one-to-one training program led by an experienced clinic administrator, passing on first-hand how to set priorities, work with the clinic director and give instructions to staff. 12 sessions over three months.

Voice

What clients say

They came in when our organization was unstable, and things settled down a great deal. After that, perhaps because the organization was stable, our revenue went up too. They made the most of our organization's strengths.

We asked them to train our managers, and our managers built the habit of picking up problems and thinking them through on their own.

They helped us reach agreement in a meeting where views had to come together across departments. Having someone with no stake in the outcome, but who understood the frontline, helped us agree.

They came in when more and more staff were leaving, identified and analyzed the problems, and proposed measures, so we could set our direction with confidence. We could not have done it on our own.
